Colon Cancer Causes – The Facts That You Should Know

FAMILY HISTORY – You can possibly be affected with this disease if anyone in your family has it. If there is more than one family member that has colon cancer, the risk you have is greater.

  • Smoking – People who smoke have a higher risk of having the disease. 
  • Alcohol - Too much alcohol consumption increase the risk of having colon cancer. 

Though colon cancer can be hereditary or that it can be passed through genes, it is on a small percentage only. Studies have shown that the bigger risk of colon cancer comes from an unhealthy diet.
