It's normal for a woman to experience VAGINAL DISCHARGE once in a while especially before having their monthly period. Aside from this, the glands in the vagina emit fluids that remove bacteria and dead cells. this helps in fighting vaginal infections.

But when the color of your discharge changes and is accompanied by a foul smell, this can be a sign of an illness especially if the vagina starts to itch, swell or ache.
It would be better if you will have it evaluated by a doctor to avoid further complications.
Here are the Causes of Vaginal Discharge;
*Red or Brown Blood - This may be a sign of Cervical or Endometrial Cancer.
*Odorless White or Yellow Discharge - If this is accompanied by bleeding in between your period,
frequent urination and pain in the hip, this may possibly be Gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted disease.
*Foul Smelling Yellow or Green Discharge with bubbles - Usually accompanied by a painful and itchy urination; a possible sign of Trichomoniasis. This is a kind of infection caused by a parasite.
*Thick Cheese like White Discharge - If accompanied by swelling, itching and stinging pain when having sexual intercourse, this is probably a yeast infection.
*Yellow or White Discharge which smells like Fish or Fish Sauce - This is probably a Bacterial Vaginosis.
If any of these symptoms are experienced, a check-up with the doctor should be done at once.
